2. Better vibes and focus
Kirtan harnesses good vibrations, this is a proven fact. It gives your yoga students a chance to connect with their inner self, and thus is more motivating to those who have signed up for a yoga class. Everyone likes to get a little more than what they had signed up for.
Your yoga students will leave satisfied feeling they achieved something meaningful, and this will enhance whatever asanas or course you are teaching
3. Extra edge for better promotion
Kirtan gives you that extra edge in promoting your classes. Who doesn’t like music? When you combine the force of meditation and the power of music to break barriers, you get something doubly powerful. People are going to want to come to your classes – you have a better chance of standing out.If someone attending your yoga classes or the weekly event likes it, chances are they’re going to talk about it to others. And what better advertising than good word of mouth? You may even get a great review on Yelp or Google!
If you include a few minutes of kirtan in every class, you now have a segway to inviting your students to a weekly gathering.
Check out this weekly Kirtan event at the Bhakti center..
This works to attract people to the event and hence you have a new opportunity to present information on your regular yoga classes. It also gives your regulars an extra bonus where they can connect with others. Our suggestion is to keep this event free so folks can come and go, but for special programs, you can have a nominal registration fee.
5. Larger community interaction
Guess what comes when you start making kirtan a part of your classes and scheduling kirtan events? You become an integral part of the yoga community, since most yoga students are familiar or have heard of kirtan. You will start getting opportunities to collaborate with other organizations, and that’s where the fun truly begins!
